Maastricht University, founded in 1976, is the most international university in the Netherlands. With a growing community of nearly 19,000 students and 4,400 employees, UM is known for its international character, innovative education model, and a multidisciplinary approach to research and education. School of Business and Economics (SBE)

The School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University is the virtual host for ICCM. The school stands out for its international character, with 40% of its bachelor's and master's students coming from abroad. About a third of its employees are non-Dutch. SBE has established an extensive network of over 160 partner universities worldwide, exchanging between 650 and 700 students each year (pre-COVID). The school adopts Maastricht University's renowned Problem-Based Learning (PBL) philosophy, creating dynamic, small-scale learning environments. SBE has been triple accredited since 2012.

Maastricht - The City

Maastricht, the oldest city in the Netherlands, is a blend of European cultures and is extremely international. The city is known for hosting the European Summit in 1991 and the signing of the Treaty of Maastricht in 1992. The city's medieval center, cobblestone streets, and 1,660 monumental buildings reflect its rich history. Maastricht's coat of arms, a red shield with a five-pointed white star held by an angel, holds significance for its inhabitants. Located in the southernmost tip of the country, Maastricht feels unique, even to the Dutch. The city attracts visitors from all over the world, and its international student community adds to its vibrant atmosphere.
